Many Members have voiced their concern about the loss of open space. ARECA’s key concern is that any development such as the proposed Crystal Palace should be considered along with the Yonge-Eglinton Planning Review.Councillor Karen Stintz is committed to representing the public interest in this concern. She organized a Public Meeting that was held on April 26th. This meeting, attended by over 100 people, was held in the spirit of co-operation and concerns from the developer and the public were both heard and listened to. It was refreshing that such a meeting could be held with that spirit of co-operation. At this time, ARECA is not aware of any application to the
City for development plans but, we keep a watchful eye on this. |
