North York Community Council Meeting
Feb. 12/08

On February 12, 2008 the North York Community Council of the City of Toronto discussed this proposal.

North York Community Council voted to support the proposal with respect to the development at 1066 Avenue Road as moved by Councillor Karen Stintz.

This, despite the item before where they voted on an item to protect the Official Plan.

This, despite a dozen or so deputations from members of ARECA and our community.

This despite a 300 signature petition and dozens of letters to the Councillor and Community Council asking for it to be denied.  Read them here.

This is far from over!

There was an amendment to the motion that is to bring the community, developer and councillor together again before the item goes to the full City Council in early March.

We continue to have optimism and have not given up the battle.
