After several years of a developer attempting to re-zone and receive an Official Plan Amendment, the OMB decision was released September 14, 2009.

The OMB ruled against the developer.  It is worthy to note the OMB decision was critical of the City and its participants at the hearings.  Further, the input of residents was noted as being "both ill-informed ... and misdirected in light of the actions of the Ward Councillor and Chief Planner."

ARECA did not participate in the OMB hearings.
